A label built one record at a time, with no piece wasted.

Zelij Lab LLC was organized in the State of New Mexico on 8 July 2026 and operates from Albuquerque, with Mohammed Jardini as its founding member.

The catalog does not have a house sound. Its first four records are a j-pop album, a big band session, a deep dubstep record and an afrobeats record, and the only thing they share is how they were chosen: one room, one listen, no committee. We press between 300 and 500 copies, split revenue evenly after costs, and leave every master with the artist. Nothing is signed for longer than the record it covers.

The lab part is literal. We keep a small studio with a shared instrument library — a rented grand, a brass cabinet, a modular rack and a wall of pedals — and artists on the roster book it at no cost.
